Highway Safety

Sixty-seven percent of highway contractors report that motor vehicles had crashed into their construction work zones during the past year, according to the results of a new highway work zone study conducted by the Associated General Contractors of America.

At J-Tech Highway Safety we are primarily committed to improving the safety of roadway workzones.

This is evident by our involvement in the PA ATSSA Chapter and our support of the Pennsylvania legislature passing SB 172 (now act 186 of 2018). SB172 authorizes a five year pilot program that will deploy speed enforcement cameras in active workzones across the Commonwealth.

Five J-Tech Highway Safety employees recently participated in the PA ATSSA Chapter's first Advocacy Day in Harrisburg and we have collectively held over 50 meetings in 8 hours with legislators to thank them for their effort in passing SB 172 and for their continued promotion of awareness for workzone safety.
