How Can I Avoid the Summer Equipment Rush?

Plan your spring and summer equipment needs NOW to keep your operations on track!

Here are 3 steps to greater equipment peace-of-mind:

1. First, Forecast Two Lists:
A. Needed Equipment:
What equipment do you know you will need for upcoming jobs?

B. Buffer Equipment:
Are there bids you might win? Do you have any backups for key equipment pieces?


2. Order Needed Equipment Early:
Talk to your suppliers early to know what lead times are. Then place orders or schedule long-term rentals.


3. Reserve Rentals for Buffer Equipment:
Depending on the type of equipment, you can likely reserve rentals for your busiest months ahead of time.

You can often do this with no fees or cancellation penalties!
This gives you peace of mind that if you do win that unexpected bid or that key piece breaks down in June, you have your name on a backup. And if the rental reservation date arrives and you don’t need it, you can generally cancel or reschedule with no loss.

No one can plan for every mechanical monster mishap, but these steps can help relieve a lot of last-minute stress.
